Watch This Cool Independent Web-Series “Silent City”

By March 7, 2013Blog

We came across this really neat web series that seems to have been talked about at places like CNN and the Wall Street Journal. It’s called The Silent City. The new post-apocalyptic web series is filmed in the real life abandoned spaces of New York. In the first episode you can see below follows a lone survivor who searches the ruins of civilization for his next meal and finds more than he bargained for.

According to the show’s site the series was conceived during Hurricane Irene in August 2011. The Silent City grew from the eerie feeling of an evacuated and deserted New York, when ‘the city that never sleeps’ finally fell silent.

Raising an $11,000 budget through the crowd-funding website Kickstarter, the creators were able to leverage the amazing abandoned locations that still exist, beyond all odds, in one of the most crowded places on the planet.
